The Trauma-Informed Care training program is designed to equip healthcare professionals and wellness practitioners with the skills and sensitivity needed to work effectively with trauma-related dynamics in their practice.

Through an in-depth and rigorous exploration of trauma and traumatization, along with a critical overview of trauma-informed models and approaches from around the world, this course provides the essential tools to support vulnerable clients and students who have experienced trauma.

Throughout this journey, you will gain valuable skills to create a safe and supportive environment, helping individuals in their process of personal growth.

Who is this training for?

This program is intended for healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, osteopaths, midwives, psychologists, psychotherapists) as well as wellness and bodywork practitioners (holistic practitioners, Pilates, dance and dance therapy professionals, shiatsu and massage therapists, naturopaths, counselors, and educators).

BEFORE REGISTERING

  • The course is intended for healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, osteopaths, midwives, psychologists, and psychotherapists) as well as wellness practitioners (holistic practitioners, Pilates, dance and dance therapy professionals, shiatsu and massage therapists, naturopaths, counselors, and educators).   • This training course aims to provide specific professional skills and does not represent a space for personal therapy .

commitment required

  • To complete the course and obtain the certificate, you must attend all hours of theoretical and practical training and complete all required supervision hours .

  • At the end of the course, a final exam will be held (in person or online, depending on availability) to verify the knowledge acquired, which is necessary for obtaining the certification.

recognition

  • At the end of the course, the Somatic Competence® Yoga Training School will issue a 20-hour certification certificate in Fundamentals of the Trauma-Informed Approach.
